Montblanc Great Characters Homage to Queen Special Edition Fountain Pen

The Montblanc Great Characters Homage to Queen Special Edition is a tribute to one of rock history's most legendary bands. With a career spanning more than five decades, Queen has achieved enormous success and created a unique musical universe where genres such as hard rock, glam rock, pop, funk, and opera merge.

This special edition is inspired by the 1991 album Greatest Hits II and crafted in dark blue resin with gold-plated details, a color combination that reflects the design of the iconic double album.

The pen's design incorporates subtle references to the band's four members – Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor. On the cap and barrel, motifs of a microphone, bass, guitar, and drum kit are seen, symbolizing the instruments that created Queen's characteristic sound.

The top of the cap is inspired by the crown Freddie Mercury wore during the finale of God Save the Queen, while the clip is shaped like a microphone stand – a reference to his iconic stage performances. At the bottom of the pen, a fluted detail is inspired by the volume and tone control knobs on Brian May's famous electric guitar. Here, there is also a small red dot referring to the "Red Special" guitar and its red color, as well as an engraving of the release date for Greatest Hits II.
